Summer's leaving us
The weather here, despite the timing, makes me feel like summer is on her way out. A cool breeze from the bay chills at night, the insects are less loud, not to mention the few days rain keeping the temperature down. Even the scent of evening is morphing. I can feel Autumn, as a whiff of her perfume of rotting leaves, harvest, and cardigan sweaters in earthy tones remind me of what's to come. I'm sad summer is leaving, but though it is the end of my vacation, it is the beginning of school, of gettting things accomplished. (and of more mischief!!) Here's a Mucha for you, on Summer:

Jean Baudrillard
"If you say, I love you, then you have already fallen in love with language, which is already a form of break up and infidelity."
"In the same way that we need statesmen to spare us the abjection of exercising power, we need scholars to spare us the abjection of learning."
"Information can tell us everything. It has all the answers. But they are answers to questions we have not asked, and which doubtless don't even arise. "
"There is nothing funny about Halloween. This sarcastic festival reflects, rather, an infernal demand for revenge by children on the adult world. "
his humor and incite excite me, and also make me sad.
